Step 1: Preparing the Nails
- Disinfect Your Hands
Start by disinfecting both your own hands and your client’s to ensure hygiene during the treatment.
- Care for the Cuticles
Use a cuticle pusher to gently push back the cuticles. If you have the proper knowledge, perform an E-manicure. Remove excess cuticles with cuticle nippers or cuticle scissors for a neat finish.
- File the Nails into Shape
File the nailsinto the desired shape using a 180-grit file. Make sure the edges are even and the shape is smooth.
- Matting the nail plate
Lightlyfile the nails with a 240-grit file to remove the natural shine from the nail surface. This ensures better adhesion. File carefully so as not to damage the nail plate.
- Remove dust particles
Use a dust brush dipped in 70% alcohol to clean the nail and remove the dust.
- Degreasing and Cleaning
Thoroughly clean the nail surface with 100% pure acetone to remove any grease
from the nail plate.
Step 2: Apply Ultra Bond
- Apply Ultra Bond
Apply a thin layer of The Gel Expert Ultra Bonding to the nail plate. This provides extra adhesion between the natural nail and the base coat. Let it air dry for 30 seconds.
Step 3: Apply the Base Coat
- Applying Rubberbase
Apply a thin, even layer of the The Gel Expert Rubberbase. Rubberbase provides an extra strengthening layer underneath the Gelpolish.
- Curing
Cure the product:
60 seconds under an LED lamp
120 seconds under a UV lamp
Step 4: Apply Gel Polish
- Applying gel polish
Apply a thin layer of your favorite The Gel Expert Gel Polish . If desired, use the The Gel Expert 10 mm fine liner brush to neatly fill in the cuticles and side edges.
- Curing
Cure the product:
60 seconds under an LED lamp
120 seconds under a UV lamp
- Apply a second coat of gel polish
Apply a second thin coat of gel polish for even and intense coverage.
- Curing
Cure the product:
60 seconds under an LED lamp
120 seconds under a UV lamp
Step 5: Apply the Top Coat
- Apply Top Coat
Apply a thin, even layer of the desired The Gel Expert Top Coat.
- Curing
Cure the product:
60 seconds under an LED lamp
120 seconds under a UV lamp
- Apply cuticle oil
Apply a small amount of cuticle oil to each cuticle. Avoid contact with the nail to prevent the top coat from becoming dull.
