Step 1: Nail preparation
- Disinfect Hands
Start by disinfecting both your own and your client's hands to ensure hygiene during the treatment.
- Care for Cuticles
Use a cuticle pusher to gently push back the cuticles. If you have the right knowledge, perform an E-manicure. Remove excess cuticles with cuticle nippers or scissors for a neat finish.
- File Nails into shape
File the nails into the desired shape with a 180-grit file. Ensure even edges and a smooth shape.
- Buff Nail Plate
Lightly buff the nails with a 240-grit file to remove the natural shine from the nail surface. This ensures better adhesion. Buff gently to avoid damaging the nail plate.
- Remove dust residue
Brush the nail clean with a dust brush and 70% alcohol, removing any dust.
- Degrease and Clean
Thoroughly clean the nail surface with 100% pure acetone to remove any grease from the nail plate.
Step 2: Apply Ultra Bond
- Apply Ultra Bond
Apply a thin layer of The Gel Expert Ultra Bonding to the nail plate. This provides extra adhesion between the natural nail and the base layer. Allow 30 seconds for air drying.
Step 3: Apply Base Coat
- Apply Rubber Base
Apply a thin, even layer of The Gel Expert Rubberbase. Rubberbase provides an extra reinforcing layer under the Gel Polish.
